Hello, I’m Michelle!

Throughout my life I have had a love of flowers and nature.  Following a great career in HR, then becoming a mum, I decided to pursue a passion by signing up for a City & Guilds course in Floral Design at Shuttleworth College, and I caught the floristry bug!  After a few years of floristry freelancing, I decided to take the plunge, and in 2023, Seasons Flower Studio was born.

I really love to work with lots of different varieties of flowers and foliages, and take joy in working with different colour palettes and styles.  I also love to buy from local flower growers who produce the most wonderful, interesting and beautifully scented blooms.

Weddings are the most joyous part of my job. There is nothing better than the buzz of arriving at the venue on your wedding day, ready to create some floral magic. A huge amount of planning and preparation goes into wedding flowers, and to see it all come together on the day and delighting our couples is incredibly rewarding.

Our values

First and foremost, we create bespoke designs for you! As a fully independent florist, we do not follow a prescriptive flower recipe. We are led by you, what you would like, and the seasons!

We love to include flowers and varieties that you may not have encountered before. New varieties of roses, locally grown flowers you don’t see day to day; we like to bring something a little different (but not wacky, unless that’s what you want!)

We have taken huge strides towards being more environmentally friendly and this continues to be a priority year after year.

  • We have invested in training and resources to significantly reduce our use of floral foam (which is made of microplastics and very harmful), in favour of other mediums to arrange flowers in - our absolute favourite medium is water!!!

  • We are confident that by mid-2026, we will be able to create all of our beautiful, high quality designs without using any floral foam.

  • We have begun growing our own flowers to supplement those we source from British and European growers.

  • We painstakingly home compost all of our floral waste, chopping it all up, so it decomposes faster, ready to use on our micro-flower plot.
